Mothers Day

This Mothers Day my family decided to make and serve dinner to the families that are staying at the Ronald McDonald house while their children receive treatment at the childrens hospital. My parents stayed at a home that was for people rececing cancer treatments in Georgia while my Dad received his. They received MANY meals while they were staying there and this was one way to give back. We made ham and cheesy potato's with lots of different sides and gave all of the mothers some chocolate dipped strawberries for mothers day. It was so sad to see what some of these kids were going through. Many of the family shared their story with us and why they were there. All of the families were so thankful for the dinner we made for them on such a special day. It was the best Mothers Day I have had so far. I am so happy we decided to do it on that day. It was good to see the Mothers smile. We are going to make it a tradition to go up there every year. Next year we are thinking Fathers Day.

I had to put this picture on here. While we were at the Ronald McDonald house Landen's parents watched our kids. I forgot to pack some PJ's for Logan so his Mom made due with what she had. Girl PJ's. It was funny.
If you are interested in making a meal here is the link. http://rmhslc.org/content/Adopt_A_Meal I highly reccomend it. It was such a good experience. It let me see what others were doing for my parents for the two months they were in Atlanta.
