Andie

Andie had tubes put in her ears today for the 2nd time. She got her first set 2 years ago. Her left ear was constantly infected and would drain thick infected fluid all the time. I couldn't keep her ear clean since it was always leaking. The doctor thought it would be best to put a 2nd pair of tubes in. After Landen and I talked about it and gave it 3-4 months to see if it would get better we decided that it would be best to get tubes again. The procedure was only suposed to take 15 minutes but it ended up taking a little more than 40 mintues. I was getting a little worried that something wasn't going right. Finally after 45 minutes the doctor came out and said everything went well. He said that he found a polyp on her ear drum and he had to remove it. He didn't really go into detail about the polyp except that he would need to keep a closer eye on her then normal and see her more often for follow up visits. When they brought her out to me she was crying and I could tell she was scared. About 5 minutes after they brought her out Landen had to leave to go to school. Andie REALLY didn't want her Dad to leave her but he had to go. She started screaming and crying even harder. She never did stop crying at the hosipital. She just kept saying she wanted to give dad a hug. She finally stopped crying when we got home. She layed down and I turned one of her favorite movie's "Thumbilina". She layed there for the whole movie and then my parents came over and gave her some little toys and coloring books (which she loves)and she has been up and playing with it ever since. She seems to be doing a lot better and hasn't complained of her ears hurting for a couple of hours. These are pictures of her before the surgery. She didn't really know what was going to happen. She was happy with the things the nurses gave her. She colored the whole time we were waiting.
I am thankful everything went well. I am SO HAPPY that it is over with. Thank you to my Mom for coming over in the morning and taking Logan to my sister Anjali's house. Thanks Anjali for watching him!!!!!

Logan's first tooth

Logan got his first tooth today, on his 8 month birthday. That explains why he has been so fussy. He usually is a very good baby and doesn't fuss much. He is doing good with is helmet. He is wearing it 24 hours a day now. It just makes him SO HOT. Good thing he has it in the winter and not the summer. That would be aweful. Here are some pictures of his decorated helmet courtesy of his Dad.
