Andie went to Jump on it for Aubrey's birthday party. She had so much fun!! She was following these older boys around the whole night. Landen said it was so funny.
My Mom and Dad came over for dinner one night. This is my Dad reading Andie a story before bed. She didn't want Papa to leave.

Owlz Dinner
Every year the Owlz baseball team puts on a dinner for the fans before the season starts. This year the speaker was Mike Sciosca. He is the manager of the Angels baseball team. Landen and his family were really excited to go and listen to him speak. He did a really good job and the food was good. I think Landen really liked seeing everybody he used to work with and all the fans that he got to know while he worked there. It was a good night.

Andie
Andie had tubes put in her ears today for the 2nd time. She got her first set 2 years ago. Her left ear was constantly infected and would drain thick infected fluid all the time. I couldn't keep her ear clean since it was always leaking. The doctor thought it would be best to put a 2nd pair of tubes in. After Landen and I talked about it and gave it 3-4 months to see if it would get better we decided that it would be best to get tubes again. The procedure was only suposed to take 15 minutes but it ended up taking a little more than 40 mintues. I was getting a little worried that something wasn't going right. Finally after 45 minutes the doctor came out and said everything went well. He said that he found a polyp on her ear drum and he had to remove it. He didn't really go into detail about the polyp except that he would need to keep a closer eye on her then normal and see her more often for follow up visits. When they brought her out to me she was crying and I could tell she was scared. About 5 minutes after they brought her out Landen had to leave to go to school. Andie REALLY didn't want her Dad to leave her but he had to go. She started screaming and crying even harder. She never did stop crying at the hosipital. She just kept saying she wanted to give dad a hug. She finally stopped crying when we got home. She layed down and I turned one of her favorite movie's "Thumbilina". She layed there for the whole movie and then my parents came over and gave her some little toys and coloring books (which she loves)and she has been up and playing with it ever since. She seems to be doing a lot better and hasn't complained of her ears hurting for a couple of hours. These are pictures of her before the surgery. She didn't really know what was going to happen. She was happy with the things the nurses gave her. She colored the whole time we were waiting.

Logan's first tooth
Logan got his first tooth today, on his 8 month birthday. That explains why he has been so fussy. He usually is a very good baby and doesn't fuss much. He is doing good with is helmet. He is wearing it 24 hours a day now. It just makes him SO HOT. Good thing he has it in the winter and not the summer. That would be aweful. Here are some pictures of his decorated helmet courtesy of his Dad.

Space baby
Logan got his helmet on the 12th of this month. He started out wearing it every other hour and the amount of time that he wears it is doubled every day. Today is wearing it for 8 hours and off for one hour and on again for 8 hours. Tomorrow he will be wearing it 23 hours a day. He has adjust really well. He has been a lot more fussy and I think that is because he probably has a headache trying to get used to the helmet kinda smashing his head a little bit. He hasn't tried to take it off or anything so he doesn't seem to mind it. He should only have to wear it for 2-4 months. His head wasn't too bad to begin with so I don't think it will be on for to long. It will be worth him looking silly for a couple of months so he won't have a flat or bulging head. I still think he is super cute even if he looks like he is going to space. So much for the cute hair cut....ha ha.

Family Journal
My friend Tawnya showed me her blog book that she just complete for 2008 because I have been looking for a good website to do mine on. I love how hers turned out and I liked it a lot better than the other websites I had seen. I decided to use that website and started my own. I just finished today. As I was going through each post for 2008 and making my book it made me realize that I need to start blogging more and writing more things that we do as a family. I decided that it doesn't really matter if it is interesting to anybody else or not. When I was reading some post I had totally forgotton about a lot of it. I remembered the pictures but not all the details of what was going on in the picture. It is such a great way to do a yearly journal for my family that can be printed out into a book so when my kids are older they can sit down and read through them if they would like. I am going to try to be a lot better at just writing about day to day things that my kids do and about what is going on. There will probably be plenty of posts that you might want to skip over because they won't be that exciting. I still have a lot to catch up on so I will be back dating a lot of my next post about christmas and some other things so you might not see them. If you are interested in making a book out of your blog this is the website that Tawnya gave me (thanks Tawnya!!)http://blog.blurb.com/

The things Andie remembers....
The other day we went to the Orem mall with my sister Lisa to get a few things for Landen's birthday. I wanted to get him some calogne from Victoria Secret so we went into the store to look at it. The FIRST thing Andie says is " Daddy comes in this store." I just started laughing so hard. Then i had to sit and think of when Landen would have gone in that store. He got me some lotion from there for christmas so that must have been it. It just was so funny that she rememberd and it sounded so funny they way she said it and when she said it.
Happy baby
Logan LOVES to eat. It makes me so so so happy because Andie was the exact opposit! I had to force her to eat and she screamed the WHOLE time. She still is a picky eater. Eating food has ALWAYS been a battle with her but little Logan get so excited when he can see me getting his food ready. I just barely let him try out this wonderful mesh binki....thing. Not sure what it is called. You can put fruit or veggie's inside it or anything really and he sucks and chews on it getting all the juices out. He LOVED it. I put manderin oragnes in for his first time and he couldn't get enough. He was pretty sticky by the time he was done which is why I let him have it right before his bath time.

Good morning
I woke up this morning and I could hear Logan laughing. He usually isn't laughing when he wakes up so I went to go see why he was so giggly and this is what I found.

Andie must have heard him crying so she climbed into his crib and was playing with him. Logan LOVES when Andie plays with him. No one can make him laugh as hard and she can. It is so cute. These are the moments that I look forward to.

Logan's first hair cut
I FINALLY had Logan get his first hair cut. It was long overdue but for some reason I just couldn't do it. It was SO LONG by the time it got cut I was more than ready. After he would have a bath I could comb his hair into his eyes. It was way to long and started to look silly. I had my Mom come one night and she cut it.

Kangaroo Zoo
We went to kangaroo zoo on New Years Day. It was so fun. Andie and landen did a lot together and Andie had fun going on her own to.
If Logan look terrified in this picture it is because he is! He hated it. Landen just kept taking him down anyway. After 3 times I wouldn't let him anymore.

Look close Andie is right behind Landen.

When we were getting ready to leave we told Andie she could go on two more things and then we had to go. She said ok and ran as fast as she could. We were taking our time walking so we didn't see where she went. We started looking on all the slides. We couldn't find her anywhere! This is the only slide that we couldn't see the top. I told Landen that she is probably at the top of that slide just sitting there because she knew she was going to have to leave when she came down. He went up there to check and sure enough she was just sitting at the top. When she saw Landen she told him she didn't want to go down. ha ha h. When they came down the slide together I just started laughing. She is a smart girl.

It was such a fun day. We stayed for 3 hours because Andie was having so much fun. We didn't realy do anything on New years eve. We went to our new neighbors house at around 5 to talk with them and have a yummy dessert. We came home and I did Ashly's hair for her dance. Andie ended up burning her hand on my straigtner so we didn't go to our friends house like we had planned. We ended up going to my parents house to see my Dad. He had surgery the day before on his back. He was doing really well and happy he had the surgery. We stayed for about 45 minutes and then came home and went to bed. I think that is the first year I didn't stay up until midnight.
