Surpirse!

Today we decided to take Andie over to the baby contest for Art City Days in Springville. They did the judging and announced the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place winners. They didn't announce Andie's name which was ok with us. It was fun to go and see all of the cute little girls. She got a T-shirt and a cute bow for her hair. When we were waiting in line to get her picture taken this lady came up to the line and asked if there was an Andie Garner. I said she was right here and she said that Andie had really taken 3rd palce! There was a little girl that was in the wrong age group and she had taken 1st place. When they figured that out they realized Andie should have been the 3rd place winner. It was a fun surprise. She got a third place medal. She wore it in her picture and was so cute with it. Then they did a group picture with 1st, 2nd & 3rd. She will also get to be in the Art City Day's parade. That will be fun. We will see how fun she thinks it is. Of course we forgot to take our camera so we had to take a picture of her when we got home. In the contest all babies have to wear a white onsie. She is wearing clothes in the picture though.

Landen is trying to get her to hold still. She didn't really want to wear the medal anymore and was trying to take it off.

All grown up

My baby girl isn't a baby anymore. On Sunday I had my high heels on to go to church but we weren't quit ready to go. I took them off so I wasn't being loud for my neighbors that live under us (sorry for all the noise Tawyna!). I turned around and Andie had them on in 30 seconds and was walking in circles around our hall way. I wasn't surprised because she is ALWAYS getting shoes out of my closet and walking in them. She already LOVES shoes! I watched her walk around couple of times and decided I should take a picture. Later I was looking at the picture and it made me realize she is growing up too fast. Before I know it she will be getting dressed up in fancy dresses to go to dances.
She definatly loves to do girl things. Her favorite things to do:
1.Play with her babies!
2.Play with her barbies.
3. Likes to have her tonails and fingernails painted! (she sits still so well and lets me do it)
4. She lets me do her hair everyday. She likes to have clips in her hair. If she finds one on the floor she will bring it to me so I can put it in her hair. Sometimes she likes to play a game where she takes the clip out and brings it to me so I will put it in again and that can go on all day!
5. Loves to wear moms shoes
6. Carries a purse around the house (up on on her sholder like you really wear a purse) while she is playing
7. Loves musical movies or any movie that has a lot of singing in it and she try's to sing with it. (so cute to watch)
8. She loves wearing dresses. Whenever I put a long one on her (or a long nightgown) she twirls around in it.
9. She doesn't like anything messy on her hands. If she gets food on them she will hold her hand out in front of her until I clean them off.
10. She is a PICKY eater!!!! (not eating is her favorite!)
11. She is VERY social. She loves to play with any kids no matter how old they are.
12. She is NOT attached to Mom or Dad at all. When I take her to nursery she turns around and waves by. Even when she stays at Grandma and Grandpa's for a couple of days she doesn't miss me or her Dad. ( Makes me kind of sad sometimes )
Andie walking around in my church shoes.

When Andie woke up this morning I was putting some laundry in the dryer. Next thing I knew She was IN the dryer. She always likes to help me put the clothes in the dryer but this is the first time she actually got in the dryer. She liked it until she couldn't get out on her own.

Weddings!!!

This week has been a wonderful week but I am so GLAD that it is over! My sister got married on Thursday, Landens cousin got married on Friday and Landens brother got married on Saturday. It was a crazy weekend but wonderful at the same time. They all turned out beautiful. It is so weird that my two younger sisters are married. I am so happy for them! By Saturday Landen, Andie and I were all so tired and ready to get some sleep. Andie kept herself busy at the receptions by running around like a wild child.

This is at Landen's brother, Bryce and his new wife marie's, wedding. It was so pretty! After Bryce and Marie's reception Andie took this wagon thing for ride. A few seconds after this picture was taken the wheel broke off. Ooops!

All the girls waiting while Bryce and Marie get pictures taken.I am so happy for Lisa and Garett, Bryce and Marie and Kira and Tommy!

(I had so much going on at Lisa's wedding that we didn't get any pictures taken)

BBQ and more....

Today we decided to go up Springville canyon and have a little BBQ with just the three of us. It was a nice day but with the wind blowing it was a little on the cold side. That didn't seem to bother Andie one bit. She loved every minute we were up there. She was finding a lot of different things on the ground and she loved it. Her favorite part was when Landen took her over to the water. He let her play in it for a little bit with her hands. She didn't even seem to mind that it was FREEZING cold!!!
This is where we had our BBQ.

Andie saw a swing set and she had to swing on it. She was laughing so hard when Landen was pushing her.

This was on our way home. She loves to play with Landen's hats and she knows how to put them on. She will walk around the house with it on all day.

Today was a really good day. It was so much fun to watch Andie. Hopefully next time we go it will be a little bit warmer!

Mr. Mom.........

For the last month and a half I have been going back to school. I go every tuesday and thursday night from 6:00p.m -10:00p.m. It has definatly been weird going back to school since I haven't been in almost four years. I am re-taking a course so I can take the certification test to be a pharmacy technician. I really liked working as a phlebotomist and x-ray tech. but I have decided if I am going to go back to work I would rather do this. The reason why I am writing all of this is because I wanted to tell Landen THANK YOU!!! He has become Mr. mom on tuesdays and thursdays. It would be so much harder to go back to school if I had to find a babysitter for four hours twice a week. At the begining he had to work those nights for the utah flash so I did have to find someone to watch her. Mostly my parents, who were planning two weddings. I also thank them for their time. Landens parents are more than happy to help anytime we need it. They help us out with Andie so much! Now the flash are done so it is Landen every time. He always seems happy to do it even if he has a test or final to study for. I am just for thankful for him and what a wonderful Dad and husband he is.

Random stuff........

Andie loves both of her Grandpa's! It kind of makes her Grandma's a little sad. Most of the time she would rather go to Grandpa rather than Grandma. She gets so excited when she gets to see them! I love to see them play with her.

Andie and Grandpa Garner

Can you guess what this is a picture of?!?!

Well for the past 2 months Andie has been telling me when she needs to go to the bathroom. I just never did anything about it because she was so little still (and still is). Finally about 2-3 weeks ago I decided to buy her a potty and see how it goes. It has been going great!!! No more chaning messy diapers! Her Aunts were over here playing with her and she had to go potty. They thought she was being so funny so they snapped some photos. This one is so funny. She loves her potty. She is only 19 months old and on her way to being potty trained. She isn't there all the way yet but she is on her way!

Well Moving on.........

This is Andie this morning first things when she woke up. First thing she said was, "Baboo". Which means balloon. She wanted to hold her balloons right when she woke up. She is so cute with them. She holds on to them and walks around the house with them all day. She even had to go to the potty with them today. She makes me laugh. I love to watch her learn new things and grow.

Mom and Dad

April 21st was my parents 30th anniversary! My brothers and sisters and I decided to throw them a surprise anniversary party with their family and friends. They were so surprised! We had it a the church and how we got them there was funny. The Bishop called them the day of and told them that he needed to talk with them at the church that same night. My Mom and Dad were a little bit nervouse why the Bishop would need to talk to them with such short notice and on a Monday night. When they got into the Bishop's office the Bishop talked to them for a minute and then said before we get started I have something I want to show you. He brought them into the gym and we were waiting for them. They were so surprised! It was so fun to be able to keep it a surprise and to have it actually work.

It was a wonderful evening. We all got up and shared with my parents how wonderful they are and how much we love them. My Mom got teary eyed and to our surprise so did my Dad. I probably never would be able to express enough how much I love and appreciate my parents. I LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD!

This is Andie walking around after dinner with a bunch of balloons tied to her skirt. She loved it. She would have slept like that if we would have let her.

This is the banner me and my sister Lisa made. It was fun to make together, I had even more fun watching Lisa try and make that yellow n.

I have more pictures of my parents but I will have to add them later.

Bee's Game

Last night we went to the Salt Lake Bee's opening game with Landen's family and some extended family. It is a tradition that we go every year. The 2005 opeing game is where Landen proposed to me. Maybe I will blog about that another day. Anyways, last night was a lot of fun. Everyone had so much fun passing Andie around and playing with her. Usually there is a lot of talking and playing around with the kids and not a lot of watching the game. Which is ok with me. I really like baseball but since Landen works for the Orem Owlz and Andie and I go to almost every game, I don't need to watch them all. Especially since there is 30 something home games every summer. Well the Bee's ended up losing. It still was really fun to go to.

This is right after one of the baseball players gave Andie a foul baseball. Everyone was screaming and reaching for the ball. He reached over and gave it to Andie. She was happy about that. She loves any kind of a ball.

Uncle Bryce playing with Andie. Notice the I love you sign she is making all by herself.

Everyone having fun playing with Andie.

I am already looking forward to next year!!!

Andie takes our bed over!

Andie hasn't been feeling well and has had a fever the past two nights. She was waking up SO MUCH!! When I would get her to finally settle down and go back to sleep I would put her in her crib and she would immediatly start screaming. Very frustrating. I finally just brought her to bed with us. Which I don't really like to do because I can not sleep when she is in our bed but she usually sleeps a lot better and doesn't really get up. That is what we have been doing for two nights in a row. Yesterday she slept until 12:30 and I still had to wake her up! I knew she really didn't feel good if she slept that long and wanted to sleep longer. Today she slept until 11:00. This is her this morning sleeping in our bed. She got moved over to Landen's side when he left this morning. I slept a little bit longer so I could get some sleep. It is amazing how much better she sleeps in our bed then she does in her crib. Hopefully tonight she will feel a little bit better and be able to stay in her bed!

Feeding the Ducks

We went to feed the ducks today between conference. It is Andie's first time and she LOVED IT!!! She was laughing and clapping the whole time. She like throwing the bread in the water and having all of the ducks race to get it. It was really windy and cold so we didn't stay for very long. We will definatly be going to feed the ducks again.

Landen's Aunts wedding

This was at Landen's Aunts wedding. She got married the day after Anjali! It has been a busy weekend! I thought this was so funny. I went to go look for Andie at the church to see what she was doing and I found her pushing her cousin on this little car. It was so funny and cute at the same time!!! She just kept on going in circles, over and over again!!

Anjali and Garrett's Wedding

This is at the Art Museum where they had their reception! It was very pretty. Andie was a cute flower girl. She loved to run around and play and get into the water. Good thing Landen's parents took her home and watched her during the reception. Who knows what could have happened!!! The day couldn't have been any better!

This is Andie up at the Salt Lake Temple. She really liked the reflection pool. It was a beautiful day. Anjali looked amazing (there will be pictures soon of her). It was just a wonderful day. We are so happy to add Garrett as a member of the family.

Family

This is our first entry and I couldn't think of anything better to start with. Last Saturday, the 16th, my adopted sister was sealed to my family in the Manti Temple. It was a wonderful experience!! We all love Anjali so much. I am so happy she is my sister forever. Now we get to look forward to her wedding in April to Garrett!
